Rich Insight economist Chris Richardson says the government’s plan to change the stage three tax cuts is “all about the politics”.
Mr Richardson joined Sky News Australia to discuss the latest updates on the government’s election promise with the stage three tax cuts potentially being broken.
“Not surprisingly it’s all about the politics because it’s always all about the politics,” he said.
“You can think the discussion we’re having one around the fairness of the cuts, one around the science of the cuts, and one around the timing of the cuts.
“If the latest round of speculation is right … the fairness will improve a bit, not all that much though.”
