In today's video for Fern Friday I'm talking about the Foxtail Fern ( Asparagus densiflorus 'Myersii' ) which is not a true fern at all. How to grow foxtail ferns outdoors is very simple. This is a great fern for beginners! Really it is overall a great houseplant for beginners. While most true ferns can not tolerate full sun, this is " fern " for full sun! Growing foxtail ferns indoors is a little more complicated, but as long as they get enough light and humidity to keep from dropping leaflets, they will do well... and never let them sit in soggy soil, let it dry when inside from at least the top two inches from the soil surface. A fairly easy to grow plant and a beautiful houseplant! Foxtail fern care is a breeze if you live in zones 9 and up where they can be grown outside all year! In the care guide I also cover how to propagate or how to divide foxtail ferns.
