When James first meets the insects inside the peach, it is in fact Miss Spider who knows his name amongst everyone. It is then revealed later in the movie that Miss Spider is actually the spider James saved earlier in the movie. This actually explains how she knew his name in the first place. Not only was she in the house to hear his name be mentioned, but James actually sings a song titled “My Name is James” in his scene with her.
