Now that we have announced our 2023 Cecil B. DeMille Award recipient, we are flashing back to that night in 2007 when Eddie Murphy beat out Jack Nicholson, Brad Pitt, Mark Wahlberg and Ben Affleck to take home the Globe. He really didn’t think he would win, and it’s written all over his face when the nominees are read. It took him a second to get over his surprise before giving a very funny acceptance speech.
