United Way of the National Capital Area is conducting a Poverty Simulation experience on Wednesday, April 21, in honor of National Volunteer Week. The event is free, virtual and open to all National Capital Area residents to attend.
The one-hour Poverty Simulation is designed to enhance awareness of the challenges many of our neighbors face, who comprise the community that United Way of the National Capital Area serves—the ALICE population [Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed]. Participants navigate how a low-income family must make critical choices based on available resources to support their basic needs. Register today at unitedwaynca.org/volunteer-week.
