Description: Leaving Detroit on a cold spring day to head west back to Salt Lake. After pushing back and starting up the engines, we taxied north to the other side of the airport for a rolling takeoff from Runway 22L. Sitting on the left side of the aircraft, I watched our shadow fall away as we rotated off the runway, and we got a great view of the McNamara Terminal as we climbed out. Once the airport was behind us, we made a slight right turn to fly southwest for a couple of minutes, followed by a big right turn to head northwest, in the general direction of our destination.
