The first thing we did after we landed in Punta Arenas in Chile - we went to Isla Magdalena - a small island in the Straight of Magellan to see the colony of Magellanic penguins, which can be observed in their habitat and surrounded by a lot of other species, along with the Magdalena Island Lighthouse.
To be so close to these amazing birds and to watch them roam around, was a truly magnificient experience.
