"Everybody Loves Touda" is the first Moroccan film to win an Oscar, following the success of "Casablanca Beats." The film tells the story of a young poetess and singer, Nisrin Erradi, who moves to Casablanca to raise her deaf-mute son. The most memorable scene in the film is a 7-minute single shot shot in Casablanca's highest tower, choreographed like a ballet. The scene took three months to prepare and 12 hours to shoot. The primary technical difficulty was the elevator's tiny, unpanoramic view, which Ayouch filmed with a green background and enlisted Copenhagen-based drone operator Tao Ahler. The crew also included an international key crew, including Belgian cinematographer Virginie Surdej, an AMPAS voter. The film's success is a testament to the beauty of cinema and the potential of overcoming technical challenges.Velvet Films and Viking Films collaborated on the film "Everybody Loves Touda," a feminist film directed by Ayouch, showcasing the strong, independent women in Razzia, a character from his previous films.
