The first case of Zika virus has been reported in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh, informed Chief Medical Officer Dr Vinod Kumar on 06 November. A 45-year old male was been confirmed with the virus. “We had sent 32 samples for testing out of which one tested positive for Zika virus. 19 samples from his village sent for testing,” he added.
