It looks like guitars made from ash could be in short supply soon so I feel fortunate to have been able to grab this little rocker from Fender Australia. It weighs in at a hair above 3kg's and plays beautifully, with a sound that's top-shelf to my ears. The Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 HT is built for longevity and stage abuse thanks to the super tight join and bolted down ...everything! No nitro or thick polys anywhere to be found so the instrument breathes and sings a little better as well. The staple combo of Seymour Duncan JB and '59 pickups glue it all together and the switching versatility is a big plus. It's a classic, simple design that is hard to beat. And so light! Love that. The MIM Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 HT Natural Ash appeared in 2018, if I'm not mistaken. There are still a few out there. Happy hunting!
