For those with a Shield TV and looking for a free DVR option this one will do the trick. But it's limited to playing back and recording only on the device that's hosting the app. Everything is locked down and can't be shared or streamed to other devices - that includes not being able to use Plex as a streaming solution.

It also requires a lot of storage (obviously) to work. Shield TV Pro users should be fine with the internal hard drive. External drives are supported but they have to be brought on as adoptable storage first.
