If you are a baseball fan, you most likely heard about the 1919 Black Sox scandal. Eight players from the Chicago White Sox were banned from baseball for life for throwing the World Series. The most famous of these players was "Shoeless" Joe Jackson.
Although all 8 players were acquitted, Baseball Commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis banned all of them outright.
This video covers Joe Jackson's life before, during, and after the Black Sox scandal. I also visit his grave, which is located in Greenville, South Carolina.
Did Joe Jackson know about the fix? Was he involved? You decide. Leave your opinions in the comments.
