Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJP) leader, Shivanand Tiwari, has sparked a fresh controversy by blaming the consumerist culture for the shocking rape incident that took place in Dumka, Jharkhand. He said item dances in films and ads and pornographic content are the reason why there is an increase in rape against women. The leader said consumerist culture objectifies women and therefore lead to rape cases. He further added that these things give rise to rape culture in society. A 35-year-old woman was raped by 17 men while her husband was held away in Jharkhand. The police are currently investigating the case. Tune in to know more!
