The Vamps are loaded with talent, so it's not unusual for its members to try their hand at a solo career. Bradley Simpson seems especially suited for such a move, and as "Cry At The Moon" suggested when it arrived in March, his choice of material is rather impeccable. At 28, Simpson could be deemed a veteran performer. But the Vamps singer sounds a bit different on his own these days, and it's encouraging to see him making strides and calling the shots on his own kind of music. The new "Picasso" is especially fun. Simpson's pop skills are numerous and obvious, and between the glistening production, clarity of chorus, breathy vocal, and sing-a-long quotient, he's been sharing gold with us. You can call him an old pro when it comes to being in front of the cameras, too. So his Vevo Studio performance of his latest track turns out to be a charismatic hoot. Watch him, as he has told a reporter, "step out and try something new."
