On Friday, August 27, 2021 at approximately 0150 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a person shot near the corner of 10 Avenue and West 211 Street, within the confines of the 34 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 27-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to New York- Presbyterian Allen Pavilion Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Further investigation revealed a second victim, an additional 27-year-old male, sustained a gunshot wound to the right hand at the incident location and was transported, via private means, also to New York- Presbyterian Allen Pavilion Hospital, where he remains in stable condition. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
