easyJet Gibraltar to London Gatwick is a daily flight between LGW and Gibraltar. The winter time sees less flights, where as the the summer time picks up to sometimes 2 of these flights per day.
The London Gatwick flight leaves LGW for Gibraltar, lands, unloads and reloads passengers and then is up in the air headed back to London Gatwick about an hour later. Very rarely does the plane sit at the Gibraltar Airport terminal for more than 1 hour.

This is my review of the flight from Gibraltar to London Gatwick, as well as my commentary on flying out of Gibraltar Airport.

I love how these planes land on a tarmac that is surrounded on all sides by water. This is a must watch to see how close to the water these planes land and take off. There are very few airports in the world like this, that could support commercial airline jets to land and take off under such extreme conditions.


Gibraltar is one of the most dangerous airports in the world because the runway is short, it is surrounded by water on both ends of the tarmac, an international highway bisects the tarmac with cars, bikes and people on foot crossing. The weather caused by the Strait of Gibraltar can lead to brutal crosswinds. The pilots who land here have to be very qualified. Flights to Gibraltar are currently only from the United Kingdom because Gibraltar International Airport is technically a military airport not a civilian one.
