The 80's and 90s were possibly the greatest time period for modern Horror movies ever. I would be willing to stake money on that. Countless characters and series solidified themselves among the hundreds of horror movies that were pushed out following the success of 70's shock horror. Nightmare on Elm Streets Freddy Krueger, Friday the 13ths Jason Vorhees, Child's Play Chucky (aka Charles Lee Ray) and Halloweens Michael Meyers just to name a few.
