What products would disappear from our everyday lives if there were no forests? Without forests, we would not have wood or paper products like chairs, packaging, toilet paper, wooden floors; even buildings are made of wood.
The best way to protect and preserve forests, and to enhance forest-based benefits is to manage them sustainably. Managed sustainably, forests will continue to provide us with the most renewable, recyclable and sustainable multi-purpose material known to mankind: wood.
Please look for the PEFC label on products and ensure that the wood and paper articles you buy for your everyday use are from sustainably managed forests and help safeguard our forests worldwide.
