Two days ago I came upon a song that spoke to so many of the struggles I've had with what's going on in our country and the amount of hatred towards fellow human beings. As I reckoned with the awful events of last week but also tried to look forward to the upcoming midterms, this song said both what I needed to hear and what I wished to say.

So this is a very VERY impromptu recording of a song I only just got the music for AND unfortunately my camera decided to be wackadoodily out of focus and I can't record another before I have to dash to work so I would just watch it on a small screen to avoid offending your eyes ... but I still wanted to share it here and now anyway in the hope that its timely and powerful message will give comfort and inspiration to someone else, as it did for me.

Thank you so much to Beth Blatt for not only writing the lyrics that both reckon with the present struggles but provides hope for the future, and for generously sharing the music with me, and Ross Neal for leaping into the creative challenge of playing guitar last minute with me.
