This German facility puts garbage to good use by generating energy from it. Waste is collected, processed and turned into Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) for power generation. Trucks hauling the material dump the RDF into hoppers outfitted with WALKING FLOOR® conveying systems, where it is stored until needed. When ready, the WALKING FLOOR® system moves the material toward the spike rolls to break it up before it is incinerated for energy production.
