I show how to make a bottle opener in the shape of a mini baseball or softball bat on my Rikon 70-100 Lathe. This is the most realistic version of a bat I have seen on YouTube.
I purchased the bottle opener hardware from Legacy woodturning, and made the blanks from leftover project wood laying around in my shop. I made a lot of these bats, one for every guy on the team. They were made out of cedar, oak, walnut, maple, sycamore, and even a couple of glue ups with bubinga, & oak, paduk & maple, as well as some crazy mash-ups of a lot of woods.
