Ukraine's Prime Minister has urged Moscow to cease military activity in the east and to stop the flow of Russian fighters into separatist-held areas.
Ukrainian fighter jets have continued flyovers in the eastern city of Donetsk.
It follows Monday's successful military operation to regain control of Donetsk airport.
At least 50 armed separatists were killed during that operation.
