We visit the Padirac Caves of the Dordogne Valley in France, Whilst away camping in our VW California Camper van. We had the chance to visit some amazing places in France, with 4 days in the Dordogne we visited the Fantastic Gouffre de Padirac.
The entrance chasm itself is 103 m (338 ft) deep, with a diameter of approximately 33 metres (108 ft). You descend 75 m via a lift or a staircase before entering into the cave system. The caves contains a subterranean river system that is partly negotiable by boat, and is regarded as one of the most extraordinary natural phenomena in France.
