The Processors and Growers Research Organisation carries out important work in the field pulse sector by trialling varieties in order to ascertain important parameters such as yield potential, disease tolerance, speed of maturity date and other key markers growers need in order to decide what to plant.

In 2023, the PGRO’s Descriptive List Trials for Field Beans and Combining Peas are being carried out in Stubton, Lincolnshire, at Dyson Farms. In this video, PGRO’s CEO Roger Vickers explains what growers and members of the trade were interested in seeing when the open day was hosted in late June.
