I picked the perfect day and location for the maiden voyage of my new Old Town Sportsman Autopilot 120 kayak! I provide a brief overview of the kayak before heading out for some early spring kayak bass fishing. The new rig performed flawlessly! The Minn Kota trolling motor was all it was cracked up to be and the stability, comfort, speed and overall ease of use made it a pleasure to fish out of. I was able to land my first largemouth and smallmouth bass of the year on a jerkbait and some feisty mountain rainbow trout were very exited to chase down my little spoon including a beautiful golden rainbow.
