Tempers flared at the first public hearings of the proposed name changes of towns under Dr Beyers Naude Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape.
The proposed name changes of towns are Graaff-Reinet to Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe and Adendorp to KwaMseki Bisho Limba.
The Department of Arts and Culture together with the Eastern Cape Provincial Geographical Names Committee conducted public hearings in Graaff-Reinet.
