Pelé was so far ahead of his time. He was a global icon of the game before the game went truly global. He did so much for football(/soccer) and had so much skill, just doesn't do justice to the talents of this player. His birthday was last October. Report from the 29th and next morning.

"The beautiful game" - Brazilian footballer Pelé is credited with making the phrase synonymous with football, amongst men, women and children of the time who agreed with many nods. In 1977, he named his autobiography My Life and the Beautiful Game.
I am watching the film "Escape to Victory" (1981), with Pelé and other greats of their time in a football film, the only one I really watch and like. I am not a football fan at all, but people of a certain age will all know of Pelé and I have seen this film about 30 times if not more already.
