Where is Van, Turkey?
Van (Istanbul Turkish: Van) (Kurdish: Wan), the largest city in eastern Turkey, is the capital of Van Province. Van is one of the historical cities of Turkey. The city is bounded on the north and west by Lake Van, on the east by the high mountains of Siah Kuh and Erk, and on the south by Mount Artus. It takes 2 hours to fly between Van and Istanbul
The people of this city speak Kurdish Kermanji and Turkish and have minorities of Turkmens, Turks and Armenians. The city of Van has several stores and has a variety of brands and is a good place to shop due to good prices.
