In this video I made a magnetic chalkboard wall for my son's bedroom and below are the steps to how I put it together.

I purchased the magnetic primer from Home depot, tintable chalkboard paint with jet black paint from Lowes.
All paint supplied from Walmart

Step1: I purchased trim from home depot after measuring the wall, I picked out the trim I wanted and had them trim it to size.

Step2: prep the walls. I wiped down the walls with a little hot water and bleach then I filled small holes and cracks with drywall filler and then I allowed it to dry before sanding it.

Step3: I added 4 rounds of magnetic primer..allowing each coate to dry for a minimum of 45 minutes to and hour in between.

Step4: After 24hours I added the chalkboard paint, 2 layers...letting it dry for 3 hours in between.

Step5: Decorate and add accessories.

Bonus step: Allow your chalkboard wall to cure..sit for 3days then season your board by using the side of a piece of chalk to rub your whole board then wipe it off.
