Introduces the Unisys A-series range and the Micro A, a PC desktop (386) ISA-bus system which supported a SCAMP (Single Chip A-series Mainframe Processor) board using OS/2 as the host operating system to provide IO and utilities to SCAMP-hosted MCP operating system. The 4MHz SCAMP ISA board includes 12MBytes (4096KW x 48 bit words) of on-board memory for MCP, and is combined with a DCP (Distributed Communications Processor) and SCSI (peripheral bus, mainly for hard drives) interface.
