Since the end of my A-Levels in July of 2023, I have been studying Harvard University's computer science course, CS50x, through HarvardX. I wanted to progress my computer science knowledge over the summer in my own time, as my sixth form did not offer computer science as an A-Level. I was aware that having a strong foundation in computer science was a prerequisite to learning the R programming language and Python, two languages I want to learn to help me progress in my actuarial career.
This course culminated in a final project where I could make anything, in any language, for any device. I chose to create a Mandelbrot set renderer on my FX-CG50 graphical calculator I used in my Maths and Further Maths A-Levels. This video had to be under 3 minutes long, so is only a very brief overview.
