This very early 1968 Shelby GT500 is packed with Shelby historical significance, not only as the first production year that Shelby built convertibles but also for its long-term duty as a Shelby engineering vehicle. The GT500 threw fuel on the muscle car horsepower wars not only by adding power but also by introducing the most iconic and aggressive Mustang styling ever created. Wide, functional hood scoops, revised grill opening with fog lights, air scoops, new deck lid, taillight design, and of course the GT500 ornamentation sprinkled throughout.
