Striking Anglo Platinum miners went on the rampage today, torching a mine shaft.
This after they ignored a 7am ultimatum to return to work.
The NUM and Amplats had reached an agreement paving the way for workers to return, but in another example of anti-union sentiment, strikers disregarded the agreeement. They are demanding a net salary of 17 500 rand.
