📌 Important Cues:
✔️ Each exercise in this Pilates reformer workout is meant to be practiced with intention, and the key is in the setup with your form for this Pilates full body workout. You will start the full body workout with spine flexion and extension as well as rotation to help open up and connect to your body.
✔️ For the lunge variation on the reformer, you will focus on positioning your pelvis to stretch your hip flexors while squeezing the opposing glute muscle. Doing this small tuck of your pelvis to stretch your hip flexors first will give you an accurate stretch of the hip flexors. This lunge variation on the reformer is especially helpful for those of you with a slight anterior pelvic tilt and who might experience low back pain with abdominal exercises.
✔️ I have also included a variation of the Mermaid exercise to help you slow down the movement and add more mobility to your shoulders and mid-thoracic spine in this Pilates reformer youtube workout. By creating more tension in the push and pull of the arms on the bar, you are able to add more rotation as you breathe.
