This is a fun tennis warm up game that kids will love. It focuses on movement and change of direction
1. Give each player a ribbon or a piece of fabric for them to place it in the back of their pants like a “Tiger Tail”. Remind the kids they have to keep the tail long, do not hide it!
2. Ask players to spread around the court and explain the boundaries are the doubles lines, baseline and net, stay inside.
3. When the coach gives the start signal, players start moving around trying to steal the tails from other players and to protect their own tails.
4. Play for a certain amount of time or until no one has tails anymore.
5. When the game is over, the winner is the one who could collect more tails
Tip: for safety, explain to the players they cannot use their hands to avoid other players from stealing their tails.
