Hello! This is a knit along tutorial for this easy knitted oversized vest. It is a great first time project if you're new to shaping.
I'll be explaining how to size it up or down accordingly to create the right size, and showing you how to make a test square.
I really hope this is helpful and easy to follow! Please let me know if you need any help :)

- Sizing information -
- Cast on 34 stitches. Size M with an oversized fit. To adjust the sizing you can use the test square method to get the perfect fit for your body and your tension, or use below as a rough guide:
XS = 29 (shoulders will be 6sts, neck hole 5)
S = 32 (shoulders 7sts, neck hole 6sts)
L = 36 (shoulders and neck hole all 8sts)
XL = 40 (shoulders 9sts, neck hole 10sts)
*if you want a tighter fit rather than a slouchy oversized look, size down.
- OUTLINE -
- Three rows of rib
- 16 rows stocking stitch to the underarm point
- At the underarm point, cast off the three edge stitches on each side
- 6 rows leaning decreases
- 10 rows stocking stitch until the neckline. (for the back panel 14 rows, ignore the neckline shaping)
- BACK -
Repeat all steps the same as the front panel, but without the neckline.
