Picked up this beauty for $5 at the local market.
Handle was beyond repair so I whipped up a new one the same as the old one using Tasmanian oak. It was sanded down to P600 with 2 coats of cabinet makers paste wax.
I made a new hoop from a piece of galvanised steel. All metal parts were polished with Autosol and coated with 3 in 1 oil.
Makers names is WP Ward Cast Steel. Some internet research shows its from the 1920's and made by Ward and Payne, Ltd., Limbrick Works, Hillsborough, Sheffield, England.
Music playing in the back ground was by Cold Chisel.
