A head-on collision between two SUVs claimed the lives of two people in Guwahati, Assam, early on November 1. The accident occurred in the Khanapara area, leaving two others injured. According to police, the collision happened when one of the vehicles was making a U-turn near the Assam Rifle Transit Camp, while the other SUV was approaching from the opposite direction. Police also reported that the vehicle coming from Khanapara was moving at high speed, causing a severe impact. The black SUV was thrown onto a footover bridge before falling back onto the road.
All four people involved in the accident were rushed to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. The two youths in the black SUV, identified as 22-year-old Deepit Dey and 19-year-old Konamika Narjaree, were declared brought dead while the two injured occupants were treated and later discharged.
