Everyone wants to climb faster and try to beat their strava times on their local hill climbs, so what's the best way to do it is it spinning or grind with a high or low cadence.
The pro coaches say your best way to climb a steep hill is to have a cadence of between 85-95rpm.
I try to practice my hill climbing on the bike as often as i can and when i'm on a bike ride and there's a hill to climb i'll practice a bit of grinding and spinning and also practice out of the saddle.
By practicing different climbing techniques you are giving yourself the chance to be able to move from one to another during a longer climb.
The only way to find out what works best for you is to get out there on the bike and try some different climb styles and then work out which one you feel best at.
Cycling is about having fun for the most part but it's good when you get the KOM of a hill climb.
