Truing the jaws on a Chinese 9 X 20 lathe, 3 jaw scroll chuck. This process will work no matter which holder you are using. Be sure to put a plug or something to hold the jaws tight. In this particular case, in the very back is a short plug, approximately the same diameter as what I want to turn very true and repeatable. After grinding the jaws, the jaws were removed, and the small area that was not ground was hand cleared. Everything was then cleaned with solvent and the run out was 0.001 inch TIR.
