Before 2023 draws to a close, I wanted to share this unreleased piece of my history with you which I’ve sat on for exactly 20 YEARS❗️Raw footage of me competing in a Gemini DJ battle at the 2003 PLASA expo in Earls Court, London 🇬🇧

Although not a major competition, it was a big win for me at the time as a young amateur DJ 👦🏾🎧 and gave me the confidence to continue exploring my relationship with music 🎶 which completely changed the course of my life 🚀

Coincidentally. I also won the competition 2 years prior in 2001, completely by surprise after entering with just 1 days practice 🤷🏽‍♂️🥇 Being young and naive, arrogance got the better of me and I raced to defend my title the following year in 2002, expecting an easy victory but I inadvertently wrecked my car on the way to the competition 💥🚗 and then completely botched my performance on stage, earning only 3rd place 😒🥉 But as they say, “failure will teach you much more than success ever will”, so the footage you see here is me having returned once more in 2003 to reclaim the title and redeem myself after the humbling I probably deserved 🥲

Poor video quality and subpar skills but I hope you enjoy this classic material from my archives! 📼
