Aircraft of all sizes, from Jumbo jets to the smallest single seat gliders can end up slipping or skidding if not flown correctly.
In this video, we look at these skids and slips, how to do away with them, how to add them on purpose and make them worse, and use them to our advantage in the short-term specific cases.

Pilots of all kinds, with the exception of those flying modern FCS aircraft, who don't pay full attention to their rudder, trim and the turn and slip indicator will end up paying a price, like reduced top speed and increased fuel consumption. In extreme examples, like ww2 where fighter escorts were often streched to their limits, this increased fuel burn could result in a dead stick landing in the channel.
