[ Ссылка ] Fluid Fuel Reactors are a pre-requisite to efficiently (and economically) breeding thorium in thermal-spectrum reactors. This allows the removal of neutron-absorbing fission products from the reactor core, so a 1:1 breeding ratio can be attained.
