This is just an introduction to Japanese natural stones. This is only the beginning. There's a lot of information to cover. We start you off in this video with some basic knowledge. It will break down different aspects of what we will cover in other videos. It's a beautiful world but very expensive. Be careful what you wish for. There are different types of stones that come from different types of quarries. You can achieve many different looks and levels of sharpness using different stones from these mountains of Japan. They are not like the ones you find in America or any other locations around the world. Each Geo-location has unique properties. We begin with an introduction to different sizes, shapes, colors, mines, patterns, hardnesses, etc. There is one person you will see the most stones from. He has been guiding me through the use and purposes of each stone. He has been fantastic this entire journey and I think and very much for his help. He's given me countless hours. It is his passion and I'm glad that I can share it with you.
