Husbandry training serves to facilitate the care of an animal through specifically trained behaviours. In this video, Albear assists me in demonstrating how to clicker train your dog to let you clean its penis. I know this behaviour might frazzle your feathers, but it is necessary to desensitize our animals to accept being manipulated in the genital areas.
The penis or vulva can get infected, you might need to investigate the source of oozing blood, pus, or determine if items logged there by accident, or determine if there's a reason for concern. Working for a vet for many years, I can tell you multiple reasons why training husbandry behaviours on ALL parts of your animal is fundamental.
The process is done through systematic desensitization and clicker training.
