The Department of Natural Resources says the spring weather serves as a wake up call for Michigan's wildlife. Michigan's bears and deer are now on the move. While relative to the Upper Peninsula, the area does not have many bears, Northeast Michigan has the highest concentration of bears in the Lower Peninsula. At this time of the year, DNR wildlife biologists are reporting bears and deer are hungry and on the look out for food with more nutritional value than what has been available all winter
