Introduced by Professor Belinda Lennox, Head of Department of Psychiatry, this short film focuses on the Brain Health Centre (BHC) as a case study of the way that clinical practice and research can come together to benefit patients clinicians and researchers alike.
The film shows the path of a patient and their companion attending an appointment at the BHC from arrival, through the research consent process, preparing for an MRI scan and being offered the opportunity to participate in additional research activities.
We hear from Professor Clare Mackay and Dr Lola Martos, two of the Centre’s founders, about what the Brain Health Centre has achieved since opening in August 2020, how it has been beneficial to patients and researchers.
