With the cost of living crisis fuelled in large part by rocketing domestic fuel bills, our energy choices are under scrutiny once again.
The Government's pledged to hit "net zero" - balancing carbon emissions pumped into the atmosphere with what's taken out - by 2050. But domestic consumers will have to shoulder some of the financial burden.
One third of UK carbon emissions come from heating homes and other buildings.
The cost of cutting them will have to be met at least partly by those who pay the bills.
