About the speakers:
1. Sharon Howe is the Vice President of Digital Services at CGG. She has 25 years of experience in the energy industry. She started her career as a geophysicist and subsequently took on various technical and business leadership roles in subsurface imaging and integrated geoscience. Sharon is based in the UK and her current focus is on leading digital businesses including CGG Cloud & HPC, AI & ML Labs, and software and training.
2. Patricia Vega is the CEO and founder of Quantum New Energy. She has more than 25 years of global experience developing innovative enterprise solutions for some of the world's largest energy and industrial customers. Before founding Quantum New Energy, Patricia served as Global President of Evaluation & Optimization for GE, President of GE Oil & Gas Latin America, and was a member of GE's Regional Board of Directors. Prior to joining GE, Patricia had a progressive multi-disciplinary career with Baker Hughes, and Haliburton. She began her career as a field engineer with BP and Schlumberger.
3. Clara Altobell is the Vice President of ESG and Business Innovation at Serica Energy. She has 25 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, starting out as a petroleum engineer, working globally and managing different aspects of the industry. Recently, her focus has been closer to home in the UK North Sea, with Serica's acquisition of the Erskine, Bruce, Keith, and Rhum fields. With her role in ESG and business innovation, Clara is now helping steer Serica through the energy transition. Clara has an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London and is a Fellow of the Energy Institute.
4. Eleanor Rowley studied Earth Sciences at Oxford University and then completed a PhD at Cambridge University. Since joining the oil industry in 1999, she has worked for two supermajors (Shell, Total) as well as three smaller companies (BHP Billiton, Cairn, Dana Gas) in a number of exploration and development technical and management roles. She recently left Total after 5.5 years as the company's VP Exploration for the MENA and Caspian Southern Europe, and returned to Cairn to lead its new country entry into Egypt as the Egypt Managing Director.
About the Moderator
• Zahraa Alkalby is a petroleum engineer with five years of experience in the oil and gas industry, working on a variety of operational projects. She has an MSc in Reservoir Evaluation and Management from Heriot-Watt University and an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London. She is an active member of SPE International and has held several volunteering positions within SPE on both local and international levels. Zahraa is a strong advocate for Diversity and Inclusion, serving on the Women in Energy International Committee in SPE and the International Scheme of Diversity and Inclusion. She is the 2020 recipient of the SPE Engineers North Sea Young Member Outstanding Service Award
