Hello friends! This is the sixth video in a series of my trip to India. It was wonderful to have two weeks to explore with our friends Sri and Vini. We visited Delhi, Udaipur, Agra and Jaipur. I had a great time learning more about India - seeing historic and modern sites as well as meeting lots of wonderful people.
This was our second day in Udaipur. It was very warm and humid. On this morning we drove about 5 km outside of Udaipur to the top of Bansdara Peak where you'll find the beautiful Monsoon Palace. The elevation is 3,100' and has wonderful views of the surrounding area. Join us as we take a casual self-guided tour around the palace.
The Palace is also known as Sajjan Garh Palace, for Maharana Sajjan Singh, 1859-1884. He started construction of the Palace in 1883. but he passed away the next year at age 25. The palace was later completed in 1898. Maharana Bhagwat Singh gave the Palace to the people of Mewar in 1956.

According to the article, they are seen in the forests of Central and northern India. They primarily eat fruits and leaves. They have very long tails! ***(Thanks to PPL for the identification!)
